TARSAN-CSO PROJECT

Towards Sustainable Quality Health Care Delivery at Grass Roots Level through Active participation of civil society organizations (TARSAN) had been worked towards sustainable quality health care service delivery at grassroots level through active participation of civil society organizations by supporting national workforce, policies, strategies, capacity building and skill transfer. The pilot project produced 500 trained community paramedics (2 years duration course) and developed capacity of training institutes that offered community paramedic courses as per national standards. This project facilitated networking initiatives for scholarship, loans and incentive packages. The project started from March 2011 and ended in February 2014 in partnership with Swisscontact-Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation. The project target areas were all upazilas of Sunamganj. The project was funded by European Union.
