SANCRED REVOLVING FUND AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (RFDP)

Project Area: 4 upazila (Tahirpur, Biswamverpur, Derai, Sunamganj Sadar) under Sunamganj district.

Objectives:

  1. To provide human development and skill training for better life status and sustainability of the group and project personnel
  2. To give preference to women for their holistic development by giving opportunity to increase their family income and involving in production by loan program
  3. To involve women and men in the credit program and to provide easy access to credit facilities towards income generating activities to make them self-reliant
  4. To create employment opportunity through income generating activities by ensuring easy credit facilities
  5. To save the poor people from high interest of moneylenders by increasing income so that they can gradually reduce selling their crops in advance, mortgage of land, sale of land etc
  6. To improve primary health condition of the poor and improve their nutrition status by undertaking development activities
  7. To keep environment in equilibrium position by implementing of tree plantation, homestead gardening and horticulture
  8. To improve mother and child health, safe water and sanitation
  9. To provide skill development training to improve homestead gardening, nursery, fish culture and livestock
  10. To provide training on gender and human rights to improve social position
  11. To develop networking with government and non-government agencies for taking initiative of good governance and support services
  12. To make Sancred as a self-reliant, sustainable and independent national NGO.

 

Results Micro finance and adult literacy

  1. 16,498 members mobilized to work together in the community through community based organization (CBO)
  2. 4,109 members completed 9 months literacy course
  3. 234 box library established in the village area
  4. Social Awareness training for 6,437 CBO members
  5. Health Awareness lesson on 391 CBO and 7,820 members
  6. Leadership development training for 5,255 CBO members
  7. 2 5,224,316.00 savings collected
  8. 449,441,870.00 loans disbursed to poor and vulnerable people
  9. Loan outstanding BDT. 83,469,206.00
  10. Total number of borrowers is 15,428
  11. Loan recovery rate 98.50%
  12. Savings collection rate 100%
  13. Loan for distressed women without service charge BDT. 359,900.00
