Project Area: 4 upazila (Tahirpur, Biswamverpur, Derai, Sunamganj Sadar) under Sunamganj district.

Objective: The project objectives are as follows:

  3. Gender & Human Rights

Project Goal: The goal of the project is that the poor and marginal people of Sunamgonj have achieved better livelihood and sustainable society.

  • Health education & Assistance Program
  • 184 women received health volunteers training
  • 6,149 women received mother & child care training
  • 249 women received mid-wife training
  • 48 persons received village doctors training
  • 2,500 children received vitamin A capsule for under aged 5 years
  • 2,770HH 13,850 HH members received safe drinking water through tube well sinking
  • 2,603 family received slab and ring for hygienic latrine
  • 1,804 members received training using hygienic latrine
  • 1,798 poor families received free medical service
  • 1,500 posters published on AIDS, arsenic & sanitation
  • 03 no campaign made on AIDS, arsenic & sanitation.

  • 2,915 family received homestead gardening training
  • 3,000 farmers received seeds
  • 8,704 saplings distributed to household
  • 175 farmers received compost making training
  • 50 members received fishery training
  • 207 members received poultry training
  • 50 members received ram/goat rearing training
  • 50 members received beef fattening training
  • 08 members received vaccinator training
  • 23,479 vaccine provided for livestock by local trained vaccinator
