FLASH FLOOD 2018 RESPONSE IN NORTH EASTERN PARTS OF BANGLADESH
Principal objective: To support the most vulnerable flash flood affected populations to meet their immediate food and other basic needs through cash transfer and critically needed non-food items to address water & sanitation needs.
Project Period: 1st July 2018 to 30th September 2018.

Working area: Union: Laxmiprashad East, LaxmiprashadWeast, Dighirpar East, Satbank Unions,
Upazilla: Kaniaghat, District: Sylhet
Results:
- 1,000 households has improved access to food and food security for 30 days through cash programming activities
- 1,000 households has access to livelihood cash grant for resumption of their livelihood
- Vulnerable people have access to safe drinking water.
- Targeted household’s practices improved their hygiene behaviour
The following proposed response has been achieved:
- A total of 1000 HHs has received @ BDT 4,500 as Multi-Purpose Cash Grant
- A total of 1000 HHs has received Livelihood Related Training
- A total of 1000 HHs has received @ BDT 5000 as Livelihood Cash Grant
- A total of 1000 HH has received Hygiene related message (IEC materials)
- A total of 1000 HHs has received Hygiene Kit Package (@ BDT 850/HH)
- A total of 50 Tube-Well & Platforms has repaired (@BDT 4000 per TW)
- A total of 100 Tube-Wells has decontaminated ((@BDT 200 per TW)
